I think this is way more dorkier...
My first impression was to barf while laughing, but seriously, they were better off with sci-fi. I mean there are so many ways to bring on viewers like half naked models, free food, half naked models...

That is so true. And the funny part (trying not to premature rant) is that they don't need more viewers! They're doing great, ratings-wise! Blyeargh!

This is what I thought as well. I mean the whole world is enslaved by the sci-fi cult after Star Wars... Watching sci-fi is like riding a bike these days, aka not dorky.

I just love marketing. The only concrete reason for this decision mentioned anywhere in the article is that "Syfy" is the way you'd text the word, and therefore it's more "cool." And this means what?
